THEY SAW A THYLACINE – 9 APRIL
By Human Animal Exchange, toured by Performing Lines
Out of the darkness the ghost of one of Australia’s lost beauties, the thylacine is conjured.
This is the story of Alison Reid – the daughter of the last curator at Beaumaris Zoo, and Beatrice McCullough – a trapper hunting the rare thylacine.
Feisty and funny, with all the suspense of a campfire story, this is a lyrical tale of adversity and destruction. Gutsy and rebellious, this beautiful reimagining of Australia’s lost history shines a light on extinction and survival.
