The Hobo Playhouse Showcase is the culmination of the company’s Play at Home residency at the Phee Broadway Theatre for the company’s Term 2 classes. The event will feature nine students performing a compilation of scenes and monologues.

Hobo Playhouse is a local theatre company that focuses on plays with social realism themes such as the homeless, Alzheimer’s Disease, carers, mental health, youth trauma and more.
For the past two years, Hobo Playhouse’s artistic director, Jeff Jones has been teaching the Method Acting technique in Maldon and at Castlemaine Community House. In the latter part of 2019, these classes will come to the Phee for the course’s 2nd term, culminating in a public showcase at the end of term.

Monday evenings from July 8 until September 2nd, 7.30 – 10.00 pm
There will be opportunity for playwrights to submit original scenes and monologues for the students to work on as a part of this residency.
